Over three hundred Australian civilians became trapped in Europe during WW2. Their desperate families were often frustrated when they sought information as to their location, health and welfare. The story of servicemen captured in Europe has been told many times, the stories of our stranded men, women and children has lain unknown in the archives, till now.
