Meet at northern exit barrier at Parramatta Railway Station for short walk to the Barracks. These buildings, erected on the orders of Governor Macquarie, form the oldest continuously used military barracks on the mainland of Australia. Completed in 1820, the structures were designed for a company of 100 officers and men and served as barracks for British regiments stationed there during convict times. Please note that the terrain is uneven, and not suitable for participants with mobility issues. Cost $15, payable on the day. Organiser: Beatrice Scheepers
